BASKETS TV SHOW REVIEW

Baskets is a FX original tv show that focuses on Chip Baskets played by Zach Galafianakis and his dysfunctional family, Chip is a french trained clown with more issues than i can count. Louie Anderson portrays his mother and does a fantastic job, Zach also plays his twin brother Dale who in my opinion has more issues that Chip. Chip has juggled rejection, financial instability and becoming a clown, his french wife only married him because she wanted a green card and he works at a rodeo that pays almost no money. Baskets is an amazing dark comedy that explores family life in a very natural way, i loved seeing zach like this, it pays homage to his go-to character but in a more natural way, Also i'd like to point out how he managed to display different emotions in his portrayal of different people. Christine Baskets played by Louie had the essence of what it means to be a mother; the heartbreak, the strength, the choices and the love, i definitely believed him.

In total i'd give this a 4/5 and i'd advise anybody that loves comedic dramas and Zach Galifianakis to give this a try.
